Wings of fire, The Dangerous gift

Tui T. Sutherland

Adventure

The book follows the perspective of a certain Queen, and I thought it was much more interesting because I could see how royalty and wealth and fame wasn't the solution to every problem. There are a lot of other plots mixed in this too, so the story was overall really interesting, despite the main character being dragons.

what if?

Randall Munroe

Short Stories

This book is not a real 'story', but it talks about many types of scientific 'what if?'s. Even though it may look boring, it has questions like jumping off an airplane with helium tanks and how fast you can hit a speed bump and not die. Even in these ridiculous questions, the author answers these with logic and science. It's very funny, but at the same time, I can also understand the answers of these strange questions.

Holes

Louis Sachar

Adventure

The book, 'Holes' is a story about one innocent boy going to a camp in the middle of a dried- uo liake. At first, it looked like digging had almost no purpose, but as the story unfolds, it shows that there was a hidden purpose in it. This book is very hard to stop reading because of the intense and eye-catching plot.

Benjamin Kim (SM1)

Project Hail Mary

Andy Weir

Science Fiction

This is a Sci-fi book about the fate of humanity being controlled by a space mission with one person left. This is one of the best YA/Fiction books out there, and the book keeps you on your toes almost every chapter with some occasional breaks. However, the book might be a little hard to understand if you are not familiar with physics and physical science. But even if you aren't familiar with these subjects, the plot is still fantastic, and you should defitnetly read it.

Heroes of Olympus, the Blood of Olympus

Rick Riordon

Adventure

I recommend this book to all people who like Percy Jackson. It includes the aftermath of the battle of Manhattan and depicts a new war as well as a old prophecy coming to life. It's thrilling and fast paced so I enjoyed reading it. There are a lot of perspectives in the book so once in a while it might get confusing, but still the plot and the stories funny and memorable.

Unwind

Neal Shusterman

Dystopian

So the book Unwind by Neal Shusterman is the first book of the Unwind Dystology and it helped me redefine what it means to be alive. the idea that parents can just sign a paper to have their kids taken apart is total nightmare fuel. it makes you realize how easily people can justify doing horrible things if they call it a "social necessity." the story is fast and intense, but the underlying message about who actually owns your body is what really sticks.

Adventure

This is a book that I really enjoyed and read multiple times. This is about few people trying to save a cub and adult Floridan panther. They go through many adventures and there are many suspensful moments. I especially like( no spoilers) the part where somebody goes int oa chase with the police. Again, I reccomend this book as this so engrossing. However, beware as you might not be succesful in peeling your eyes off this book.
